Why Use Stone?

For quality, durability, beauty and value, there is nothing better than natural stone. With hundreds of colors available in granite, marble, quartz stone, limestone and travertine, you can choose from products and finishes to suit any need.

Unique characteristics
No two pieces of stone are alike. Granite contains quartz, mica, and some semi-precious stones. Stone may appear speckled or iridescent, and usually contains veins, colored streaks traversing most slabs, adding beauty and character not found in manmade materials.

Durability
Granite is the most wear-resistant material available for a work surface. It's impervious to most normal wear and tear, including heat. This is an important feature for commercial applications where low maintenance is a necessity. Stone surfaces don't need refinishing - polished surfaces are permanent.

Affordable cost
You may be surprised at how competitively our stone is priced. While stone may be priced a bit more than other "solid surface" materials (like Corian or Avonite), the value you'll receive from this durable and classic material is incomparable.

Design capabilities
In our new, state-of-the art fabrication shop, our experienced craftsmen rarely encounter a shape they cannot fashion with accuracy.

Easy maintenance
Stone can be washed with mild soap and water or a stone cleaner. We recommend applying a silicone spray once a year to help resist oil absorption.

Cleanliness
A recent study by the Hospitality Institute of Technology & Management in Minnesota rated a granite surface second only to stainless steel in its ability to resist bacteria. After cleaning with soap, water, and a vinegar and water solution, granite surfaces eliminated more than 150 times the bacteria than tile and plastic laminated surfaces.
